This midday supervisor training course provides disciplinary and behavioural management strategies required to safeguard children, create a harmonious learning environment and encourage the development of social skills. We also explain how to promote inclusivity and help children with special needs.

Ensuring students are safe, stimulated and well during lunchtime is very important in schools and plays a key role in the childhood development of social, physical and cognitive skills. The childcare professionals called ‘midday supervisors’ (or ‘lunchtime supervisors’) watch over school children while they eat and play to ensure that everyone is safe and happy. They help students be good to each other, prevent accidents and resolve conflicts. They also assist scholars who need extra support or have special education needs (SEN). The job is rewarding but demanding and midday supervisors require thorough training to acquire the childcare and childhood development skills they need to handle any issues that may arise.
Understanding how to protect the young people in your care is crucial to ensure that they are safe and happy as they learn through play. Teaching children social and conflict resolution skills helps them to be good students who are kind, respectful and well-behaved. This midday supervisor training course also explains how to prevent and deal with bad behaviour in order to create a fun learning environment that aids healthy childhood development. We show you how to watch over kids during lunchtime and manage their conduct to ensure that everyone has the same chance to enjoy themselves and feel safe on the playground.
This training course takes you through the fundamental methods used to help children grow. We demonstrate how to improve the communication skills you need to talk to and work well with others. We explain how to keep children safe from harm and how to make sure that you are aware when they might be in danger. The course helps you to be prepared for emergencies and accidents and shows you how to provide first aid. We also discuss how to help scholars with special needs (SEND) who need exceptional help to reach their potential. The special interventions include changing how classrooms and playgrounds look, sound or feel and helping children with their school work and emotions. You can use the childcare and childhood development skills provided in this midday supervisor training course to ensure that each child is safe, respectful and happy.
